Reading and Language Arts
Please continue to study sight words at home.
This week we read a story called Two Greedy Bears. This story is about two bear cubs who cannot agree about how to divide a piece of cheese. We also spent a lot of time reading our leveled readers.
Please keep reading the books in the children's purple folders.
Spelling
Words for next week include: arm, far, car, start, dark, yard, large, jar
Math
We continued to review addition and subtraction facts. Please keep working on this at home.
Second Grade
Reading and Language Arts
This week we read the story Moses Goes to a Concert. This is a story about a deaf boy and his classmates who attend a concert. We learned how to sign the alphabet. The children also wrote letters to their 3rd grade pen pals at Prairieview.
Please continue to read the books that I have been sending home with the children.

Words for next week include: liked, hoping, baked, using, chased, making, closed, hiding, named, riding, time, sleep
Math
We continued working on our chapter on adding and subtracting three digit numbers. This has been a difficult task for many of the children so keep practicing at home.
