Week of November 13th - 16th

2nd Grade Math

This week we completed Chapter 7 of our Math series.  This chapter works on 2-digit subtraction with regrouping.   Keep working on Math facts at home!

1st Grade Reading - Enrichment

This week we continued to read a story called Speed .  

1st Grade Reading - Tier 3

We are now working on Step 2 which deals with trick words and blending words.   We began new program called - Leveled Literacy Intervention.  We read 3 stories this week.  Please keep an eye out for the purple folder that comes home with your child daily. 

2nd Grade Reading

This week we read a book called The Dog and The Bone.  We also read several leveled books during guided reading. 

1st Grade Math

This week we completed Chapter 7 of our Math series - this chapter works on subtraction strategies to 12.  We have also been heavily focusing on number sense. 

2nd Grade Reading - Tier 3

This week we worked on Lesson 26, 27, 28 and 29 of our Leveled Literacy Intervention.  We read 4 stories.  Keep an eye out for the yellow folder that comes home with your child daily. 

Week of November 6th - 9th

2nd Grade Math

This week we have been working on Chapter 7 of our Math series.  This chapter works on 2-digit subtraction with regrouping.   Keep working on Math facts at home!

1st Grade Reading - Enrichment

This week we read a story called Speed .  Ask your child what the fastest bird is.  Also ask them what fish swims the fastest.  

 

1st Grade Reading - Tier 3

We have completed step one of the Jolly Phonics program.  We are now working on Step 2 which deals with trick words and blending words.  We read At School - our Readers Theater story.  Next week we will be beginning a new program called - Leveled Literacy Intervention.

2nd Grade Reading

This week we read a book called Making Pizza.  We also read several leveled books during guided reading.
